Dave Borchardt has always been a passionate runner. So after starting his work as Director of Events for the Kansas City Sports Commission, a non-profit organization, he volunteered for the role of Race Director for the Kansas City Marathon—their largest annual event. He was even inspired to complete the marathon himself in 2013. His mission at Kansas City Sports Commission is making KC better through sports. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, and hosting “The Final Whistle” postgame show for Sporting KC on Sports Radio 810.
